Sorting spreadsheet rows

Postby ikarus7 » Wed Feb 03, 2016 3:23 pm

I have a list of about 50 rows with multiple columns.
In column F, I have mixed values for "priority".
I would like to sort the ENTIRE list by priority.
How can I do that?

Hello,

You can perform this action by adding the AutoFilter option or formated spreadsheet, which includes all 50 rows and the columns used by you.
Then select the column, which you want to use for sorting, and apply the sorting. The dates in another columns rearrange automatically.

Thank you very much. Your suggestion worked great for me.
However I have another question - adding more rows to the formatted spreadsheet, the additional rows are not part of the "Name range".
I am not able to edit or delete this name range.
Please advise.

Hello,

Working with name ranges is not fully implemented yet, e.g. referring to a specific colomn of the named range and / or formatted table is not supported. Named range or table application area will be reduced or enlarged according to deletion or addition of specific rows applied.

If you add a row below the formatted table it won't be included to the named range. You will identify this because of the absence of any row style added.
If there is no answer to your question still, please send us back the screenshot and the .xlsx file you are talking about.
