So here is the thing the spreadsheets:
I have an open range data set, i.e., as more information is added, more rows are added to the data set.
Therefore, I define the filter to be not a limited range, but rather entire columns (12 columns in total).
As a consequence, beyond the last row which has information, there will be {blank} cells (which are included in the filter options)
When an user applies a filter, which inadvertently tries to exclude the {blank} cells, the entire Spreadsheets Editor crashes.
I believe this is because the Spreadsheets Editor is trying to hide all the millions {blank} rows beyond the last line.
A friend once told me that in the MS Excel, the app locates the last row and the last column which has non-blank information, and ignores everything beyond that.
So my question is: is there a workaround for this problem, besides telling all users to never uncheck the {blank} options in the filter?
