Why is there a feedback button?

I submitted feedback to the feedback button on the mobile app. I received a response back that all mobile feedback should be sent to the mobile forum. Why have a feedback button if the response is to use the forum?
Also, when I tried to email the support email after this, my IP address is banned. Weird.

The weird thing is I had sent an email from that email address the day before and it completed. Which is why I was confused as to why it would be banned the next day.
