How to set username for track changes

Post by gjsa73 » Mon Jan 09, 2017 5:17 am

I am using the linux version of the documents program v
I cannot set the username that appears as the label in new comments for a document.

It seems that the second part of the name comes from a file called index.html in the folder opt/onlyoffice/desktopeditors/editors/webapps. ... .html#L254

Line 254 sets the second name as 'Hamish':
id: urlParams["userid"] || 'uid-901', firstname: urlParams["userfname"] || 'Mitchell', lastname: urlParams["userlname"] || 'Hamish'

The username of my local pc account is 'gj'. So when I post a comment in a document it is signed like this:
'gj Hamish'

Which is a problem because my second name is not Hamish :lol: and I don't want to include my PC username either.

So my question is? How do I set the name correctly?

Our technical specialists have solved the problem with 'Hamish' name. This bug with the part of the name should disappear in the next version of ONLYOFFICE document editor, unfortunately, we can not tell you the exact update release date.

As for the second part of the issue with setting the name, our technical specialists are working on it right now. We will notify you when the solution is found.
