Excel locking of cells

Post by milo2101 » Thu Aug 22, 2019 6:47 am

I just have uploaded an Excel-Sheet, where some cells (including formulas) are locked (for avoiding any casual alteration). But, once uploaded and the file being opened online, all these cells are fully open to be edited. I did not find any function to fix it (=to lock these files). Any ideas?
2nd question: Having uploaded 2 excel-sheets, I wonder how to make a cell of the file A to appear in a cell of file B. How has the formula to be set to make this work?
thanks a lot and best regards,
michael

Hello,

Unfortunately both those functions are not available yet. ONLYOFFICE does not support locked cells at the moment

The first one yes, but we can not tell you any exact date.
As for the second one, it is to be discussed with our developers.

This is a HUGE limitation for our customers. They expect that the adoption process of moving from MS Office to OO is going to be seamless. Our customers lock the cells of a spreadsheet for templates that require complex decisions to be made without the user having the ability to modify the result. This inability to lock cells has caused our customers to stop the transition. This is VERY bad.
